Now, that my blog stats have spiked due to internet users being directed here as they search for porn, let me explain the above.
About one month ago, I got a phone call from a fast talking woman whose name and company I didn’t catch, due to the speed of her vernacular. Blueberries!!! Tell me about blueberries, was the inquiry. How do you use blueberries in drinks, why, when, how much, all came in rapid fire succession.
A little stunned, as I didn’t know what this was exactly for and I had just woken up, I answered the questions as best I could. A quick thank you later, the phone call was over and I just stood there scratching my head trying to figure out what the hell just happened.
Cut ahead to last week when I got an email from someone I met in New Orleans (you’ve got to go to Tales, it will change your life) asking how I got into Life & Style magazine. As I had no idea of what she was talking about, I asked her to email me a scan of the article.
Sure enough, there was my name, sandwiched in between the names of Ashlee and Beyoncé, with pictures of them below me. The article was talking about blueberries in cocktails, and how the both of them were recently seen in some New York hotspot, imbibing a Blueberry Rumble. The quote that was somehow pieced together from the phone conversation went as such: “Blueberries add a unique tangy flavor to drinks and also give them a gorgeous color.” I don’t think I could possibly sound more like a knob.
Also on the page was a recipe for the Blueberry Rumble, which at quick glance one can instantly see that it would be a very sweet drink, and therefore not one of mine, although the way the article is written, it would lead you to believe so.
Oh well, at least I was able to be part of a Beyoncé and Ashlee sandwich!

BLUEBERRY RUMBLE
2 oz 10 Cane rum
½ oz triple sec
1 oz blueberry schnapps
½ oz pineapple juice
2 oz lemonade
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, then strain into a tall glass
Add lemonade and garnish with fresh blueberries and a mint sprig

As one can see, this will be a very, very sweet drink, so make sure you have a shot of insulin at the ready if you decide to try it.

Interesting that they would set up the whole thing as seeming to be about the use of fresh blueberries in cocktails then present a drink that only uses blueberries as a garnish. All because tow famous people were seen drinking them. Hell, I didn’t even know they made blueberry schnapps, though if it tastes anything like that blueberry Stoli I’ll just pretend I never heard of it.
But hey, anything that gets you into a Beyoncé Simpson sandwich is a-ok with me!
